PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION

Life Help offers Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) programs for individuals 18 years and older as well as Senior Psychosocial Rehabilitation programs specifically designed for individuals ages 50 and older. PSR provides a structured daily schedule of therapeutic activities to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness. Breakfast and lunch are served as part of the program. Transportation to and from the program is also provided. The program is offered 5 hours per day 5 days per week.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES

Community Support Specialists help clients access resources in the community and help set goals to improve functioning in daily life. These specialists also help clients make informed decisions, provide family interventions, and provide referrals to other agencies. Since they are mobile, they can meet clients in home and community settings.
MOBILE CRISIS RESPONSE TEAMS (MCeRT)

The goal of MCeRT is to respond in a timely manner to the individual where he or she is experiencing the mental health crisis or meet the individual at a designated location such as a local hospital. The MCeRT clinician can facilitate admission to a Crisis Stabilization Units or a hospital if needed. They will also provide mental health follow-up after a crisis has been resolved so as to reduce the chance of further crisis.
PROGRAM OF ASSERTIVE COMMUNITY TREATMENT (PACT)
(Grenada, Holmes & Leflore Counties)
PACT is for people who have the most serious mental illnesses and have not benefited from traditional outpatient services. PACT teams are mobile, delivering services to people in their homes and communities. Individuals are evaluated by the PACT team to determine eligibility. PACT services are available for residents of Holmes, Leflore, and Grenada counties.
PACT also includes the NAVIGATE program. NAVIGATE is a program offered to individuals who are suffering from psychosis and are between the ages of 15 and 30. NAVIGATE is a comprehensive wraparound service including therapy, peer support, and employment coaching in addition to prescriber and nursing services. The program’s goal is to identify and treat psychosis early in an effort to reduce hospitalizations and psychiatric crises.
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT

Supported employment is an important intervention that can enable individuals with a serious mental illness succeed in finding and maintaining a job. An important mission of Supported Employment is to eradicate the stigma in today’s society about mental illness. Employment is a tool to empower each individual with confidence and increased self-esteem.
ADULT MAKING A PLAN (AMAP)
(All Life Help Counties)
AMAP is a collaboration between Life Help’s adult service clinicians and multiple community partners. Where funds are available, the goal is to help individuals who cannot pay for needed mental health services.
INTENSIVE COMMUNITY AND OUTREACH RECOVERY TEAM (ICORT)
ICORT is a recovery and resiliency oriented, intensive, community-based rehabilitation service for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. ICORTs are mobile and deliver services in the community to enable an individual to live in his or her own residence. Services are provided 24-hours per day, 7-days a week.
