Life Help is a public, not for profit agency that provides a wide range of behavioral health services to individuals in Attala, Bolivar,\u00a0<\/strong>Coahoma,\u00a0<\/strong>Carroll, Grenada, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Leflore, Montgomery, Sharkey, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tunica, Quitman & Washington Counties<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We are Certified and partially funded by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. We comply with all State and Federal requirements regarding fraud, waste, and abuse<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Our mission is to help clients and families\u00a0build a\u00a0bridge from Life’s challenges and\u00a0difficulties to a place of stability and recovery. <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Fees for service are based on a sliding fee scale<\/span><\/a> according to income and number of dependents. Medicaid, Medicare, and many private insurances are also accepted. No one is denied access to services due to inability to pay. Our offices are open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Extended hours are available. For mental health emergencies, we offer a toll free 24\/7 Crisis Hotline at 866-453-6216<\/span>.<\/strong>

\nThe 24-hour\u00a0National Suicide and Crisis line is available at 988<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n

When should someone call Life Help?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Life Help offers a wide range of services to meet the needs of people who are experiencing problems due to mental illness and\/or life stressors. Some reasons someone may request Life Help services include:<\/strong>
\n Depression<\/strong>
\n Anxiety<\/strong>
\n Anger<\/strong>
\n Trauma<\/strong>
\n Grief<\/strong>
\n Alcohol and\/or drug abuse<\/strong>
\n Suicidal thinking or threats<\/strong>
\n Thoughts or threats of harming others<\/strong>
\n Changes in functioning at work or school<\/strong>
\n Sudden changes in mood or behavior<\/strong>
\n Trouble concentrating or thinking clearly<\/strong>
\n Hearing voices<\/strong>
\n Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias<\/strong><\/h4>\n
